 Educational Projects
India's population is plus one billion. Out of this, 40% are below the age of 14, which works up to 400 million children in India . According to 2003 UNESCO report 233 million children are not attending school in India . There are 119,000 Senior Secondary Schools. We need 300,000 more schools in the next 10 years to meet the need.
Education for the underprivileged is a very important need in India. Here is a very great opportunity to serve the needy.
Education, given in the right way can change the life of the children and break the vicious cycle of ignorance and poverty running through communities and families.
In 1990 a literacy and education program was started in Delhi by providing education to 12 slum children who had come begging into a residential colony.

Today, there are four schools in four different areas in Delhi, Madanpur, Khadar, Dakshinpuri, Shanti Vihar and Kazipur, 3 tribal education centers in Gujarat and one in Jharkhand catering to over 1000 children.
Each school has committed teachers and works in shifts. The schools teach all regular subjects, using English as the medium of instruction and Hindi as the second language in Delhi. In tribal schools education is in the state language.
Their mother tongue is also taught. All the centers have a Center in Charge to take care of the physical needs of the centers.
