Children in Lower Classes
Supriya Dass

Supriya is proud of her father. He was proud of his youngest.
He would carry away debri from the construction sites to provide for the family and pay his share of the cost of education of his little girl in the Toilet Complex School in Alaknanda slum.
 He was affected by diabetes.

Wrong treatment lead to his early death. Now Supriya is in tears for her father and also that she cannot pay her share. She loves the Lord and takes refuge in him.
Sugandhita Jha

Sugandhita and her brother lost their parents at one go when fire broke out in Alaknanda slum. She became very quiet and forgot even to smile.
The schooling and other helps given by The Good Samaritans has brought joy in her heart and a smile on her face.
Sweta Pal

Sweta is just 9 years old. Her father sweeps the streets and cleans the gutters to make a living. He wants his daughter to come up in life.
The Good Samaritans’ help has made a big impact in her life.More than good education, the knowledge that she is the object of love of the living God is the greatest gift she has ever had. She loves to go to church and sing.
Shahnaz Khatoon

11 years old Shahnaz loves to come to school. Her father is a scooter mechanic and works on the roadside to provide for his family.
He does not understand the value of education and allows Shahnaz to go to school only at her insistence. Shahnaz loves to eat cabbage which she can get, may be once a week.
Rahul Patro

13 years old Rahul is an active and attractive boy and loves to sing and dance. He likes to read and write too! His father has no job and the mother works in a factory to support the family.
He loves peas and cheese which he can have once a month. His favourite subject is Maths.
